Study On Assembly Workplace Planning And Evaluation Technology Based On Virtual Reality

In the process of product development and manufacturing, assembly process is one of important factors which influence on the product development cycle time and cost. Workplace planning, which affects the labor intensity and working efficiency on single workplace, is an important point in assembly process planning.Traditionally, optimized assembly process and workplace planning is obtained according to repeated try-and-error assembling process with real product model on assembly line, which takes higher cost and longer time. Planning workplace and doing assembly process simulation on virtual assembly line using Virtual Reality (VR) will reduce the product cost and shorten the development cycle so that the ability of competition is enhanced.
