Research And Development Of The Stamping Die CAD System Based On SolidWorks

Stamping die is a very important part in die industry. Based on analyzing and summarize the design and manufacture of stamping die of home and abroad, this thesis studies the design method and realizing technique of stamping die CAD system. Choosing SolidWorks as the developing platform, using of VB as the developing programming language, this thesis develops an easy and useful stamping die design CAD system. The main contents of this text are as follows:1. Combined with the actuality and tendency of advanced manufacturing and CAD technology, discussing and analyzing the developing direction and main deficiency of stamping die CAD technology in detailed. Based on above analysis, solutions to meet the goals and describe mutual theory are offered.2. On the base of presentation of stamping die design knowledge and design technique of stamping die CAD system, a functional model and system configuration of stamping die CAD system are built.3. Researching the technique and method of modular planning stamping die CAD system, which include planning process and dividing method of stamping die accessory, module's data model technique and the key technical problem in variant design based on modularization.4. The technique of three party development based on SolidWorks, the data-base management of stamping die CAD system and the development of data-base based on VB are introduced.5. Firstly, the function models of stamping die CAD system are introduced. Then some mostly interface are offered. At last, in order to show the designing methods and work results, the dissertation gives some examples, by which, the functions and design process of the stamping die CAD system can deeply be known.6. Summarizing the work of this dissertation, some shortcomings and future work are also sketched out.
