Stamping die is process equipment for sheet metal forming.It is widely used in aviation,aerospace,automobile,domestic appliances and other fields,and has an irreplaceable position in the whole manufacturing industry.At present,the traditional design and manufacturing process for stamping die is often based on the experience of the engineer themselves,and lack scientific analysis method for the size and process planning of the parts,which can not guarantee the quality of the stamping die,nor meet the needs of the design and manufacture for modern stamping die.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the deficiencies about in process of design and manufacturing for stamping die.This paper combines the actual research results of the enterprise and the processing characteristics of the stamping die,the system of structure design and parts process planning for stamping die is built relies on the UG software platform and the customizing development.This system focuses on the automatic generation of the stamping die structure and parts process planning.In this paper,the general framework of the system is established,and it is divided into two modules: structure design module of die and process planning of die parts,and analyzed the implementation process of each module in detail.For the structure design module of die,the automatic generation of the die assembly structure is realized by calling the assembly model and the standard parts.On the one hand,by extracting the working parts,supporting and clamping parts,unloading and pressing parts,et al,the assembly model is established,and the control mode and calculation method of the size and location relationship among the components in the model are determined.On the other hand,for the commonly used standard parts,such as g guide pillars and bushes components,balance block components,positioning pin components,limit column components,and nitrogen spring,the location and size of these parts are stored in the standard parts database,thus ensure that the standard parts can be called smoothly by the system.The process planning module of die parts is established based on group technology and genetic algorithm.This module can be divided into two sub modules: attribute setting sub module and process planning sub module.The main function of the attribute setting sub module is to provide part attribute data for the process planning sub module.According to the attribute information and process information obtained,the part classification code is established in the process planning sub module,then the die parts are grouped by coding,and a standard process template is set up for each group.In addition,a genetic algorithm is also designed for the scheduling problem of part process.When the system runs,it can decide whether to call the standard process template directly or genetic algorithm to produce the processing of part.Lastly,the system of structure design and parts process planning for stamping die is developed by using Visual Studio tool and UG customizing development,and taking the automobile part as an example to verify the practical performance.
