| City is the main compact community of human being, and also the core of regional development. But the fast development of urbanization is having the significant influence and impact to the nature ecological balance, has created the resources depletion, the environmental pollution and the ecology destruction. According to the requirement of city sustainable development, referring to domestic and foreign massive research results, this paper combined theory with the real diagnosis, has conducted the research to the city ecosystem sustainable development. And the main idea is as follow:First, this paper has elaborated the basic theory of city ecosystem, and put forward the structure and function of city ecosystem on the basis of other scholars' research. And it has analyzed and compared Hangzhou and Wuhan's city ecosystem development condition, and proposed the current ecology problems in Wuhan.Second, it has discussed that ecology theory, system scientific theory and the sustainable development theory have a directive function to city ecosystem sustainable development.Third, it has carried on the generalized analysis and the appraisal to city ecosystem sustainable development through the ecology supporting capacity theory and the ecology footprint theory, aiming at finding out whether city ecosystem is sustainable development and constructs corresponding Comprehensive index systemFinally, it has proposed measures and advices of city ecosystem sustainable development on the basis of above research, and which has certain reference value.
