β-diketone, enaminone compounds have various reactivities and plentiful structural chemistry, so these compounds are important intermediates of organic synthesis and have their important applications in the fields of biology, catalysis and materials science, which have been receiving considerable attention for long. In additional, for the special properties and applications of macrocyclic compounds, now they have already leak to the organic synthesis chemistry, supramolecular synthesis chemistry, biology chemistry, coordination chemistry, physics chemistry, radical chemistry, and so on. Besides that, they also accelerate the formation and the development of supramolecular chemistry and Host-Guest chemistry in some new fields. For these, we initiated the studies on syntheses and properties of these compounds and their metal complexes, making a series of significant and creative development.1. Fourβ-diketone, nine open-chain enaminones, eleven cycloenaminones and ten complexes, thirty-four compounds in all were synthesized and fully characterized by elemental analysis, 1HNMR, IR and UV spectroscopies as well as the single crystal structures of nine typical compounds determined by X-Ray diffraction methods.2. The preparation methods ofβ-diketone were systematically studied and properly optimized, with a series ofβ-diketone compounds synthesized. The structures of products have been determined by the single crystal X-Ray diffraction of [1,3-C5H3N(C15H15O2Fe)2]. The crystal structure shows that theβ-diketone exists in the diketo form. 3. The reactions ofβ-diketone and primary diamines were systematically studied with a series of Z-s-Z enaminones synthesized, the structures of products have been determined by single crystal X-Ray diffractions of the typical compounds H3L2,H2L4 and H2L5.4. The reactions of bisβ-diketone and primary diamines were systematically studied, a series of cycloenaminones were synthesized, the structures of products have been determined by single crystal X-Ray diffractions of the typical compounds H2L2,H2L3,H2L4 and H2L6.5. The coordination reactions of synthesized enaminones with bivalent copper ions were researched in detail and a series of complexes were synthesized. It was found that by the X-ray crystal diffraction the enaminones acts as tetradentate ligands.
