With our country economy fast development and people living standard enhancement, the construction decorations more and more have been used in the house decoration, which due to the indoor air pollution, specially the formaldehyde pollution is extremely serious. There are 60%~94% new rooms in our country in which the formaldehyde density surpass the national standard and the average density is 3~10 times than the indoor formaldehyde health standard. The formaldehyde has already became the most important pollutant in indoor air of our country. How to control the density under the harmless degree for the human body health or eliminate is a goal which we are concerning and studying focus.This paper study on the cleaning of formaldehyde pollution in indoor air by contrast analogue experiment of several indoor plants such as Ficuselastica, Sansevieritrifasciat'Laurentii', Scindapsus aureus, Aloe arborescens, ChloroPhyrum comosum, The plants were put into chamber with formaldehyde which roots and soil are packed by film and unpacked, Detect variation of formaldehyde density in the chamber with time.Detection data was analysed by using liner regression the curve of relationship between time and the density of formaldehyde in air. It evaluates the purifying formaldehyde capacity of plants according to CADR. The process of plant purifying was researched by determination of formaldehyde in plant leaf and the content of chlorophyll and MDA Variability. Then it founds the new conception of plant CADR and builds up the model of plant allocation according to the results of the experiment. Using Aloe arborescens and Chlorophyrum comosum carried on the revision to the plant allocation model under the condition of formaldehyde sustained release.On the basis of the MDF formaldehyde release quantity, apply the plant disposition.We found that the normal garden plant had the high ability of purification ability of formaldehyde, in which Chlorophyrum comosura is the best one of the chosen plants in our research,next ones are Aloe arborecens ,Sansevieritrifasciat'Laurentii' and Scindapsus aureus,the Ficus elastica is the worst. Moreover,the plant purification experienced effective-notability-saturation processing. The mechanism of plant purifying air pollution is withholdings and removing the chemical. There is some certain damage in the leaves.This research solve the focus problem of people's attention that is whether put or not,which and how many plants will be put. It offer a theory base and reference for the removal of formaldehyde in indoor air by plant utilization.
