Formaldehyde is one of the three invisible killers of indoor pollution. It has also become the top indoor chemical pollutants, which is severely threatening human life and health. Indoor plants not only have a strong air repair ability, but also have function of absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, especially with safety, stability, continuous purification effect, so the indoor plants ecological restoration technology has become the important measurement and basic way to treatment indoor formaldehyde pollution.This study was estimated by means of random bio block design with3replicates through method of variance analysis, multiple comparison. Repaired capacity on formaldehyde pollution purification, resistance and plant ecological restoration technology of9species of common indoor shade-tolerant foliage plants (Chlorophytum comosum, Chlorophytum capense van marginaturn, Chlorophytum capense var. Vittatum, Chlorophytum capense van variegatum, Epipremnumaureum var.Golden Pothos, Epipremnum aureum, Monsteradeliciosa, Spathiphyllum floribundum, Sansevieria trifasciata var.laurentii) were studied.The experiment results show that:1. Research on plants purification ability of indoor formaldehyde pollution(1) Formaldehyde density condition, plant species and interaction between two factors for formaldehyde purification rate and purification capacity of unit area has come to a extremely significant level. By comparing the formaldehyde density condition and plant species composition, formaldehyde density condition is more effective to formaldehyde purification rate and Purification capacity of unit area.(2) Under formaldehyde density condition of1mg/m3,2mg/m3,3mg/m3, different plants for variance of formaldehyde purification rate reached extremely significant level. Along with formaldehyde density elevating, all the plants present a drop tendency to the formaldehyde purification rate. According to general analysis of formaldehyde purification rate, under different formaldehyde density condition, the best plant of purification ability is Spathiphyllum floribundum.(3) Under formaldehyde density condition of1mg/m3,2mg/m3,3mg/m3, different plants for variance of purification capacity of unit area reached extremely significant level. Along with formaldehyde density elevating. all the plants present an increase tendency to the purification capacity of unit area. According to general analysis of purification capacity of unit area area. under different formaldehyde density condition, the best plant of purification ability is Chlorophylum comosum.(4) Integrated indoor plant formaldehyde purification rate and purification capacity of unit area under different formaldehyde density condition, the bigger of plant’s leaf area, the higher of formaldehyde purification rate, and no significant association is found between plant’s leaf area and purification capacity of unit area, Epipremnum aureum have strong air purification capacity and resistance to formaldehyde pollution. It is suggested that the plant of the best comprehensive purifying effect is. Epipremnum aureum.2. Resistance research on plants of indoor formaldehyde pollution(1) Formaldehyde density condition,plant species composition and interaction between two factors for variation of the contents of chlorophyll (Chl), the content of malondialdephyde (MDA), the membrane permeability (rate of electrolyte leakage) has come to an extremely significant level. By comparing the formaldehyde density condition and plant species composition, formaldehyde density condition is more effective to the contents of Chl, MDA, and the rate of electrolyte leakage.(2) Under fonnaldehyde density condition of1mg/m3,2mg/m3,3mg/m3, different plants for change rate of chlorophyll reached extremely significant level. Along with formaldehyde density elevating, all the plants present a drop tendency to the contents of chlorophyll. According to general analysis of change rate of chlorophyll, under different formaldehyde density condition, the best plant of purification ability is Spathiphyllum floribundum.(3) Under formaldehyde density condition of1mg/m3,2mg/m3,3mg/m3, different plants for change rate of malondialdephyde(MDA) reached extremely significant level. Along with formaldehyde density elevating, all the plants present a increased tendency to the contents of MDA. According to general analysis of change rate of MDA, under different formaldehyde density condition, the best plant of purification ability is Spathiphyllum floribundum.(4) Under formaldehyde density condition of1mg/m3,2mg/m3,3mg/m3, different plants for variation of membrane permeability () reached extremely significant level. Along with formaldehyde density elevating, all the plants present a increased tendency to the rate of electrolyte leakage. According to general analysis of change rate of electrolyte leakage, under different formaldehyde density condition, the best plant of purification ability is Spathiphyllum floribundum.(5) Based on3kinds of physiological indexes(chlorophyll, MDA, membrane permeability), minimal changes in plant species is Spathiphyllwn floribumdum, it is suggested that the best plant of purification ability is Spathiphyllum floribundum.3. Integrated indoor plants to formaldehyde purification capacity and resistance. Spathiphyllum floribunchum performed higher purification rate and resistance. It is suggested that Spathiphyllum floribundum have strong air purification capacity and resistance to formaldehyde pollution and the best plant of purification ability is Spathiphyllum floribindum.4. According to formaldehyde purification rate of the indoor plant and using the clean air quantity method (CADR), we constructed indoor plants configuration model. Combining of indoor plants ornamental characteristics, ecological habits, we put forward plant configuration mode of formaldehyde ecological restoration in the living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom.
