Dynamic Analysis Of Liquid Storage Tank

Petrochemical industry is the key industry of the national economy, and with the development of national economy, petrochemical industry is becoming more and more important. For its great merits, large-scale cylindrical storage tanks are widely used in petrochemical and correlative industry. In order to protect the safety of the tank and reduce the direct and indirect disasters caused by its damage, the study on the mechanical behavior and response of the tank under dynamic loads leads a great significance. Based on certain practical project of the LPG storage tank, the seismic response analysis is performed with FE software ANSYS to draw the conclusion of their mechanical properties. The main research and achievement of the paper are given as follows:1. Anti-seismic checking calculation for the practical LPG tank is performed, and the result shows the tank can run safety.2. The necessity of setting anti-wind loop on the LPG tank analysis is executed and the result indicates setting anti-wind loop is very necessary. At the same time, it also shows the location of the anti-wind loop. In order to study further on the response of the tank under seismic load,the paper analyse all kinds of factor detailedly, which will affect the response of the tank and the maik work are given as follows:a.Comparison analysis on the response of the tank which taking the damp in account and which without;b.Comparison analysis on the reponse of the tank which is of all kinds of liquid level;c.Comparison analysis on the response of the tank which is of fluid-structure interaction and which not;d.Comparison analysis on the response of the tank on elastic base and on rigid base;e.Comparison analysis on the response of the anchored tank and unanchored tank;Furthermore,the paper primarily analyse the up-lifting and 'Elephant Foot' buckling phenomenon of the tank.The achievement of this paper will be a reference of dynamic analysis on the tanks similar.
