With the rapid development of global economy,the need of energy,the essential resource is becoming more and more aggravating,traditional fossil fuels such as coal and oil,is not only limited in the world,but also with the release of the burning of containing sulfur gases,will cause the greenhouse effect intensifying.LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas,or LNG)used as a safe,high calorific value,clean,of a lot of advantages energy,are increasingly changing the layout of our country's energy structure.However,LNG has the behavior of ultra-low temperature,flammable and explosive,once leak under seismic action,serious secondary disasters will occur.So,the evaluation of the seismic performance for large LNG storage tank and seismic research is particularly important.This paperstudies the seismic action of 160000m~3 LNG storage tanks considering the coupling effect between liquid and solid.Firstly,due to the difference of the LNG storage tank structure,this paper introduces the single pot,double capacity,full capacity tank and membrane tank detailed;lists three kinds of damage under seismic action;presents the recent research progress domestic and abroad.Secondly,this paper based on the response spectrum method and the European codesusing Matlab software,solve the hydraulic pressure under earthquake excitation respectively,also use comparative analysis,and on the basis of the thin shell theory,solve out theanalytical solution of elastic tank wall Mises stress.Then,using ADINA,a finite element software with strong solver applied in the treatment of the fluid-structure interaction,first get the modal solution of empty LNG tank,and then analyses of the coupling modal of the liquid storage tank and the sloshing modal of the liquid in the tank respectively;last,compare the frequency of the coupling modal of the fluid-structure and frequency of the sloshing of the liquid in the tank with the theoretical solution of the relevant specification respectively.Finally,based on coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian method(CEL)in the large finite element software ABAQUS,analyses the seismic response of LNG storage tank using time history response analysis,this paper does not adopt the that commonly used in engineering,using direct coupling method instead.Compared with theadded mass method,it will better simulate thereal value of the earthquake response of the liquid inside the LNG tank,Compare the simulation results with the analytical solution and also with the theoretical solution of the corresponding codes,draw some practical guiding suggestions to engineering.
