Abstract/Summary:
Because of rising in price of oil and macromolecule raw materials, high concentration masterbatch emerges as the times require to reduce cost and economize materials. But the preparation of high concentration masterbatch is difficult due to high vol. percent of pigment and low vol. percent of carrier resin. And study reports of preparation process are very few and the domestic technology level drops behind in this aspect. Therefore, it is signality for exploring process of high concentration masterbatch. High concentration masterbatch becomes hot technology exploitation field in masterbatch industry, and the studies of preparation process, dispersion theory, performance demand of high concentration masterbatch are stare its in the face.High concentration white masterbatch is prepared by using different titanium dioxide, PE wax and adding nanocalcium carbonate etc. to change the formulation of masterbatch in this paper. Hiding power, tinctorial power and dispersion performance were tested by color measure instrument and IBAS, and process performance, rheology were tested by Brabender torsion rheometer and INSTRON rheometer. The influences of titanium dioxide, PE wax and additive were discussed. The result showed that, rutile TiO2 was well consistent with carrier resin, so the prepared masterbatch had glabrous of surface, and application was better than acute TiO2; the masterbatch was prepared by using polymerization PE wax, whose application is better than masterbatch prepared by using other PE wax, such as hiding power of the film, whiteness of the templet; dispersion of TiO2 was uniformity, and application was improved, in particular hiding power and tinctorial power by adding PPA and nanocalcium carbonate in masterbatch. The basic datas and rheology data will provide important reference for uniformly corloring and process design of masterbatch...
