Proper layout of draw bead is one of the key ways on controlling forming quality of ram parts in automobile panel formation. As the application of numerical simulation in the forming of automobile panel, the application of draw bead is transiting from experience to simulation. Application efficiency is improved, but the trial-and-error method is the main problem in the numerical simulation.Improving the application of draw bead by feasibility analysis. Preference the feasibility analysis after moulding surface design, to avoid manufacture defect because of moulding surface forming flaw. Meanwhile it provide the preliminary scheme of draw bead arrangement, which conduce to reduce trial-and-error. Adopt the combination method of equivalent and real draw bead in simulation, to improve the simulation efficiency and precision. In the application of case history, the result is satisfying.As one of the key boundary condition in numerical simulation, the draw bead restrain force have a big affect to simulation precision. According to blank deformation process transiting draw bead, a research model of draw bead restrain force is established. It used to study the draw bead restrain force of semicircular. The result is compared with the calculation of existing software and physics result, to verify the rationality of the model. Finally, the draw bead restrain force of rectangle is studied. It indicate that the forming process of rectangle draw bead is more complex. Based on the study of semicircular draw bead, the rectangle draw bead research result is appropriate. The model provide a method for similar research.
