Status Analysis And Disposal Research On Urban Domestic Waste In Chengdu

At present, 3000-3500 tons of domestic wastes are produced per day in Chengdu, which is estimated to increase greatly with the further development of economy and society. While the domestic waste contains a great deal of recycled resources, the disposal capability of it is clearly insufficient, in this situation, sort and collection of domestic waste become urgent and inevitable.This thesis firstly investigates and analyses thoroughly the status in quo of domestic waste discharge and collection in Chengdu, pointing out the defect of mixing collection and elucidating the importance and necessity of the sort and collection. Secondly, it investigates and analyses the status in quo of domestic waste disposal and recycle in Chengdu, acquainted with the running and administrative system of Chengdu waste recycle industry. raising a possible problem between environmental health department and waste recycle department in sort and collection with a proposal of solution to it.The thesis focuses on the study of potential problems and feasibility in sort and collection of domestic waste in Chengdu. It also predicts the production and composing characteristics of urban domestic waste in Chengdu, and, according to the overall project of waste disposal in Chengdu environmental health plan, puts forward a blueprint of sort and collection of domestic waste covering the following aspects: sort principle, implementation principle and sort method, draws up the detailed implementation rules, constructs benefit models of sort and collection in different types, and makes cases analysis on Chengdu. Lastly, by thoroughly analyzing the demonstration work of sort and collection of the domestic waste and the running system in Chengdu, the thesis brings forward definitely that the difficulties which the sort and collection work is facing now, is, to a great extent, caused by its merely relying on the effect of inducement system. However, a great deal of publicity hasn't obtained expected effect, therefore, the only way to make breakthrough in sort and collection of domestic waste is to set up charging system of waste discharge and subsidy system of resource recycle, to change the public behavioral manners and living habits by economic means.
