The disposal of Municipal Solid Waste is one tough question challenging human being in the 21-century, and MSW is also one kind of resource which has been put wrong place. To dispose MSW is becoming one high scientific and technical industry. To some extent, if the problem of resource recovery of MSW is resolved well, a series of problems of environmental pollution as well as the shortages of energy and source be caused by urban economical development can be resolved too.Chengdu city is the most important center of trade, science and technology, traffic, communication in south-west region. MSW from hospital, hotel etc are transported currently to especial waste incineration plant, other MSW generated daily of mix collection in bag are disposed in Changan Sanitary landfill. Therefore, to study and establish the scientifically reasonable processing system of resource recovery of MSW has significantly theoretical and practical meaning to change the situation of environmental pollution and resource consumption.First of all, the paper investigates and analyzes the situation of collection and disposal of MSW in Chengdu. Base on that, it points out that the pattern of MSW of mix collection and signal disposal isn't suitable to Chengdu, and the characteristic of the MSW that they can be classified collection and resource recovery are obtained. So the treatment system of resource recovery of MSW on basis of classified collection is necessary. Secondly, according to the MSW generations in decade, the paper predicts the output of MSW in Chengdu from 2005 to 2015 by Grey Model. By combine the survey dates of Chengdu MSW physics compositive in 2004 and the dates of other cities in China, the physics compositive of Chengdu MSW in 2015 was predicted.The last Chapter is keystone of the paper. The Chapter mainly introduces the establishment and Optimization of the system. This chapter focusing on four technologies used in waste treatment: separation and collection, Sanitary landfill, compost and incineration. According to that, Waste classifying processing methods are suggested. These methods are separately about two more than technologies aimed at classifying waste. Considering environmental, economical, social efficiency, the system is optimized.It is expected that this article could be helpful in theory to resource recovery of MSW in Chengdu in the future.
