China's rural living garbage is bringing seriously problem to environment. The related research on rural garbage collection and transportation system is very poor as well. This paper taking typical landform of Chengdu rural area as the research object and put forward a classified collection model grounded on local specific condition. The research is developed based on the investigation of living garbage source characteristics and current garbage collection status, by introducing GIS geographic information system to set up and optimize the transportation routing. It provides practical guidance and reference to the research on developing garbage collection and transportation system in rural area.Through field investigation and sampling analysis, obtain the living garbage source generated data of the typical hilly (WanXing town) and plain region (Wan Chunzhen). The garbage per capita quantity of Wan Xingxiang is0.194kg/(d per capita), and kitchen garbage approach to82%. Wan Chunzhen's is0.34kg/(d per capita), more than39%is kitchen garbage,20%is lime soil.Based on field data analysis and investigation, It work out appropriate classified collection model separated for hilly area and plain area. The waste reduction reached80%in WanXing town and cost of waste collection and transportation reduced accordingly after implementing classified collection model. Furthermore, there still get profitable benefits due to kitchen garbage resources recycle.Constructed a model to demonstrate the shortest and economic routing of garbage transportion. In order to reduce overlapping area between each routing and facilitate routing management, this paper introduced K-means algorithm to classify the collection region of WanChun town, convert NP VRP issues to be more relative simplified SP issues, and considering the actual route network to finally optimize boundary points.The paper constructed the road network map by introducing GIS solution, and figure out the shortest path (SP) of garbage transportation routes in WanChun town based on both mix collection model and classified collection model. The conclusion is the cost for garbage transportation reduced around28%under the mixed collection model, and obtained10%cost reduction under the classified collection model. Consequently, The second transferred garbage decreased59.7%, and the kitchen garbage recycle rate to39%.
