Alkyl polyglycosides is a new kind of non-ionic surfactant which has low surface tension, highly activity, excellent foaming and stability properties, fine bio-degradation, strong ability of decontamination etc. Because of the improvement of environment conscious and the petrol resource becoming littler and littler, it is necessary to develop a new and sustainable development surfactant. Coal is the main un-renewable resource in the world. So it is very important to improve its effective utilization. The good method of reclaiming coal is flotation experiment. Flotation foaming agent plays a main role in flotation experiment .At present ,all of the foaming agents are derived mainly from by-products of the chemical products and the un-renewable petroleum products ,such as fusel,sec-octanol,esterification-oil etc. The ideal foaming agent should have the properties such as cheap, innocuous, contamination free etc. So alkyl Polyglucosides prepared with the renewable raw material such as starch and the natural fatty alcohol, is seeked for a new class warm and" green" nonionic surfactants.In the dissertation, alkyl polyglucosides are prepared by the renewable resource starch and the natural fatty alcohol with the indirect method. The optimized synthesis craft: the catalyst mixed with sodium-p-benzenesulfonate and sulfuric acid, the quality ratio of catalyst to starch is 0.018:1, alcohol to starch is 3:1, at 125℃and PH=3~6, the reaction time is 4h,during the reaction starch addition in batchs (every is 20%) .The structure of APGs is analyzed by means of infrared absorption spectroscopy, recording the characteristic absorption skeleton vibration peaks C-O-C (1500cm-1-1650cm-1), and the stretching vibration peaks C-0 and C-O-C (1100cm-1-1000cm-1.The spectrum proves the structure of APGs. At the time, the surface tension, CMC, emulsion properties, foaming and stability properties, cloud point and stability in hard water are determined. It is conformed that APGs have excellent surface activity.In order to improve the flotation technology of Wangfenggang coal preparation plant. The orthogonal design is used to get the optimized floatation compositions for the Xieyikuang's slurry with APGs as foaming agent and diesel as collector. Depend on the recovery of the burnable matter, the optimized floatation compositions : collector agent 1111g/t,foaming agent 125g/t.
