Synthesis And Properties Of Acrylate Copolymer Emulsion As Water-Soluble Dust Depressor

The new sand-fixation material that has been researched in the thesis is acrylate macromolecule chemical compound emulsion, which has a good water-soluble. Synthetic polymer material is a kind of new chemical sand-fixation and dust suppressants. It can stick the soil and dust through physical and chemical properties, making the small sand soil together in order to control dust pollution. This research area has significant future and has been widely used in many fields.This sand-fixation and dust suppression agent are prepared in three stage procedure, including emulsification, seed emulsion polymerization, polymerization. The synthetic route and reaction conditions were discussed in the thesis and the effect of the proportion of monomer, temperature, time and pH on reaction process and performance of the resins, its water-solubility, were discussed. Its applied capability which used as sand-fixation and dust depressor was studied. The results showed that the sample is a good dust suppressor when synthesized with 25% MMA, 0.8% initiator, 3% emulsifier, reaction temperature 80℃and pH=5-7.The physical and chemical characters of the sand-fixation and dust suppression agent was also analyzed, including viscosity, FTIR analysis was used to test the characteristic radicals of the products, TG test was used to test the thermo-stability of the products and SEM analysis. The results showed that the sample is a good dust suppressor and has fit viscosity and thermo-stability stability. Base on FTIR and SEM results, we discussed one possible mechanism of the sand-fixation and dust suppressant.According to different uses of the sand-fixation and dust depressor agent, water absorbability, water resistance, stability against freeze and melt, permeability, wind corrosion resistance etc, were studied. The results proved that the emulsion has good properties of sand-fixation and dust suppression.According to the results of the product, it is a good material of sand-fixation and dust suppression that has good applied properties, convenient, meets the necessity of environment protection, and has a wild applied prospect.
