Study On Rapid Prototyping Material Based On Epoxy Resin

Based on Rapid Prototyping(RP), Rapid Tooling develops rapidly recently. The dissertation summarizes Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM), Stereo Lightgmphy Apparatus (SLA) , Fused Deposition Modeling(FDM) , Selective laserSintering(SLS), Plasma Deposition Manufacturing(PDM) and Three-Dimensional Printing(3DP) techniques and their applications. Due to its virtues, Rapid Tooling is wildly used in the fields of welding, plastical forming and medicine etc. Compound material is more and more widely used in tooling industry,and the paper primarily research a new compound material based on resin,which is fit for rapid tooling.First of all,the substance material, the enganced material and additive are properly choosed.According to the rapid mold materials special need, the contrast relations of different proportion of epoxy resin matrixcomposite to the performances including flexural strength impact strength, rigidity, melt fluidity and mechanical processing werediscussed. The optimal epoxy resin matrix composite for rapid tooling was obtained. And the material with excellent performances wasapplied to the manufacturing of repaid tooling. The rapid tooling made of this composite had the merits of low density, short cycle andlow cost.And then confirm the proportion of all of the materials,then study the samples produced by the four kinds of compound materials on the fields of anti-band intensity,impact tenaticy,rigidity and machinical process capability,etc.Finally ascertain the new compound material based on resin,which is the most excellent proportion,good synthesis capability and adapt to rapid tooling.At last we prospect the project,advanced Rapid Tooling technologies come forth ncessantly ,and new Compound materials based on resin will be more wildly used in Rapid Tooling,moreover,the combination of Rapid Prototyping and Reverse Entreat accelerates the designing and processing of the productions.
