Carbon fiber composites must be adapted to the production cost and speed of high yield of vehicles in order to be applied in the automobile industry.Therefore,it puts forward higher requirements for the scale,automation and rapid prototyping of composites.Rapid prototyping RTM,as a representative of high efficiency and low-cost composites prototyping technology,is the direction of carbon fiber composites automobile parts.Existing carbon fiber composites represented by epoxy resin matrix have a long cycle time,therefore,the development of rapid cure resin systems is a prerequisite for achieving rapid prototyping.In this paper,the reactivity of the curing agent and the synergistic catalysis of the catalyst were designed from the molecular structure level,and rapid curing thermostable and toughened resin systems were developed.Rapid prototyping carbon fiber composites were prepared by RTM process,and the prototyping efficiency and process quality of composites were realized.(1)A rapid curing thermostable resin system was prepared by gradient reaction curing agent with different active polyamines and the synergistic catalysis technology by liquid anion initiator(L-MI)and chain transfer agent(BDO).The curing behavior,rheological behavior,thermostability and mechanical properties of resin were studied.The resin system provides an excellent combination of rapid curing and long open time,which can be cured under the condition of 130 ?/5min,with acceptable thermostable and mechanical properties.(2)A rapid curing toughened resin system was prepared basing on synergistic catalysis of L-MI/BDO and controllable active curing agent designed by high active and moderate active polyamines.The curing behavior,rheological behavior and mechanical properties of resin were studied.The resin system has the advantages of long open time,during which the resin does not rapid build in viscosity,followed by a fast cure(110?/5min),and the toughness of the resin matrix is improved.(3)Based on phenomenological kinetic model,Dibenedtto equation,gelation model,the time-temperature-transfer diagrams were established,with studying the isothermal and non-isothermal curing kinetic of rapid curing thermostable and toughened resin systems.The rheological model equation was established by Arrhenius equation,thus the RTM molding injection temperature of the thermostable and toughened resin systems were determined as 80 ? and 70 ?,respectively.(4)The infiltration and flow behavior of the thermostable and toughened resin system under injection temperature was investigated,and the two resin systems show good wettability.Carbon fiber composites were prepared by RTM rapid prototyping,and the porosity,interfacial mechanics and micro structure of composites were evaluated.The results show that the composites have acceptable internal molding quality and interface properties,with 6%and 8%porosity respectively,and the resin systems have good adhesion to fiber bundles.
