At the tradition craft of draw-bench, we need to set the strength before off-setting the synchronous factors by worker. When it starts up, the workers correct the synchronous factors on-line in order that the synchronous factors are equal to the setting synchronous factors. Therefore, the draw-bench can run in high speed. But the synchronous factors would be re-corrected when the specification of the steel wire changes.The operation is complex. Automate degree is low. In this kind of tradition control way, the asymmetry of material or the object shape make the tension control difficult. The motion of the tension will make the steel wire spotty.Aim at overcome the shortage of the multi-motor system at present, according to building the mathematical model of multi-motor constant tension control system and analyzing operating principles of this system, this article presents a novel synchronous-factor on-line recognizing method. New control strategy with fuzzy self- tuning PI can overcome the strong complex output couplings between controlled objects and motors.Without decoupling of tensions and speeds of multi-motor, the synchronous factors are auto-modified with the feedback tensions. This control carries out the constant tension control of the physical object.The main research of multi-motor system includes:(1)Carry on modeling and analysis to the tension control device.(2)Drive the multi-motor tension control system to build on modeling and analysis.(3)Design suitable fuzzy self-tuning PI controller.(4)Emulate the new system model, compare the result with the tradition method.(5)Make use of programmable controller and MPI, connect PLC to the computer, constructing an industry control network. Make up a trial environment for experiment analysis. Make up the industry system of the new strategy.The simulation and the experimentation show the possibility and the rationality of this control strategy. Without decoupling of tensions and speeds of multi-motor, this control strategy can get constant tension control. Therefore, this kind control mode has stronger applicability for the industry production.
