The Loose Leaf Barn is a new style of bulk curing barn,invented by the SOUZAGRUZ Corporation of Brazil in the late 1990s.It is said that the barn designe two or three loading tobacco boards instead of tobacco-wallet or tobcco- box.The loose Leaf Barn is 2.5 times by the common curning barn in loading densities,reduce the cost of labour by 21.5%,cut down energy- consume by 30%,and decreased the pieces by 3 %.The study was somewhat challenge because there was so little methods or tools could be adopted.The concrete method has to be used by a series of checked data about tempture and humidity of barn,and about air pressure or volume.Meanwhile,we have successed in solving the basic problem:the curing-yellow and rate of curing-penetrating which is the confined element to extend the Loose Leaf Barn,and putting forward the curing technique of the Loose Leaf Barn.The performance of Loose Leaf Barn were studied.The results showed that the plane temperature range of loading room could be controlled within 1℃when the loading boards were specifical,the grade of slope of loading room were reasonable,the fan and air pressure could match requirement and the blast volume in the loading room is≥1000m~3/h.While the verticality temperature range in the loading room showed that it was minimum at the stage of early yellowing,and the temperature range increased slowly from the mid stage of yellowing to the end of fixing-color,and reduced again at the killing stage.But the verticality temperature range of loose tobacco curing barn were lower than the common bulk curing barn.We also found that the loading technology could be better using natural packing method,and the density kept at 75-85kg/m~2.We brought forward the key point of harvesting and loading.
