The work in this thesis is from an engineering development project. By analyzing state-of-the-art in domestic and international markets, this text investigates the theory of the mechanical system and technical realization of the unshafted driven gravure printing machines by using the common techniques of our country in digital and the intelligent unshafted driven gravure printing machines.By analyzing the domestic and international technology information of unshafted driven gravure printing machines, the drive system supplier is found. According to the analysis of the driven electromotor, the electromotor is chosen. Through the analysis to the gravure cylinder conjunction, install, and usage, a design plan is finalized. By establishing a mathematical model, we propose a theoretical formula that measures the winding diameter. The established mathematical model plays an important role in analyzing the dance-roller. Finally, the above-mentioned techniques are successfully applied to one set of unshafted driven gravure printing machines, which indicates the correctness of the developed design theory and methodology.
