In our country, due to the restriction of the ability and level of machining, the Precision large circular-arc drum-shaped roller can only be machining in using the method of changing the two terminal of the roller into double chamfer, and then the problem of the deficiency of carrying capacity is solved. As the increase of the oil supply pressure, the double chamfer method can not solve the problem of design of the engine any more. So, the numerical control grinding technology of large circular-arc drum-shaped roller is put forward in this paper. Using the method of three-axis numerical control Interpolation and the numerical control interpolation of the line and arc, the different part with the different curve radial demanding can be satisfied.Base the machining requirement, the math model of the linkage between the angle displacement and the line displacement is established. With the help of this model, the grinding parameters and the grinding precision are calculated and analyzed. The numerical control program is compiled. Finally the precision grinding process is set up.Through the experiments, the problem of machining of the large circular-arc drum-shaped roller can be solved, the precision and production efficiency are grantee by this technology.
