The New Method Of The Female Basic Jacket's Outside Shape Design

This research tested a new method to study the female jacket's outside shape design. In fashion design the female term silhouette refers to the overall shape and volume of the design. Fashion designers experimented with volume and form creating silhouettes that forged a meaningful relationship between the garment and the body.Digital technology was introduced in the each process of whole garment industry. This paper combines three-dimensional (3D) non-contact body scanner system with the computer graphics. And establish the relationship between two-dimensional (2D) pattern and three-dimensional (3D) outside shape. Try to bring up some methods to promote the outside shape design in 3D garment computer aided design system.As the promising new technology three-dimensional (3D) non-contact body scanning was introduced, TELMAT body-scanning technology became accurate and exact. The sections of chest girth,waist girth and hip girth can be gained from 3D images which not only belong to human body but also body be dressed.Garment pattern design is a process that transforms the three-dimensional (3D) style into the two-dimensional flat pattern. In pattern generation process, style ease must be integrated into basic block according to the characteristics of style. Therefore, the relationship between garment style and ease distribution is crucial to the pattern alteration process. Since the distribution of ease in the garment is uneven and nonlinear, it is basically estimated according to the experiences of pattern markers. By traditional flat pattern design technique, garments with good appearance cannot be achieved without final fitting. To realize the 3D-2D transform, the point is study the relationship between the ease and the garment outside shape. That's good way which could be help the fashion designer create some new outside shapes.
