Development On Digital Garment Pattern Management System

With increasing global market competition and rapidly developing information technologies, whether the clothing industry in our country could keep vigor in the international market competition in the future, the key factor is that the clothing enterprises could realize industry's information. By analyzing the existing Computer Aided Garment Design (CAD) systems, we observe that the current CAD Pattern System is underdeveloped,conventional manipulation techniques cannot keep up with the modern clothing industry any more,and the limitations of the system functions make it difficult to meet the users' developing requirements. Even worse, they may hinder the patternmakers' creativity. Digital Intelligent Development concerning CAD Pattern System has become an important area of research on CAD Pattern System.This thesis analyzes the CAD Pattern Design System, combining the structure design of the garment, through the strong function in Visual Basic and its powerful read and write functions for Access database. With the female skirt structure as example, develop an informational garment pattern management tool—garment pattern management system. The paper introduced the designing way, function and significance of this system.
