Development Of Numerical Control Simulating System Based On Virtual Reality

With the development of manufacturing technology, VM(virtual manufacturing) as a kind of new manufacturing strategy has been studied and applied extensively. The NC simulation system is an important part of virtual manufacturing and can be applied into verify the NC program and train the operator of NC machine tools.Visual Basic is the main developing language, with the Visualization and Object-oriented method of making program, to design with the principle of i.e.-general layout for interface and independent realization for function modules. 3-Dimension modeling theory is studied and analyzed. VM technology is brought into NC simulation in this paper, OpenGL to handle the solid models of machine, tools, chuck, etc. which building with Pro/E. Also design programs of reading and analyzing NC program, and has developed a high fidelity virtual NC system.
