Along with the rapidly economized development, ecological environment deteriorates day by day. The dust in air threats the people's fitness, especially in urban. Leaves of trees can absorb dust, thereby reducing and preventing dust pollution effectively. However, according to the research, dust pollution made a certain negative impact on the growing trees. Based on the twelve major landscape plants, ability of absorb dust were analyzed and measured, and studying the photosynthetic physiological determinations responding to the leaves with dust after the photosynthetic rate (Pn), transpiration rate (E), stomatal conductance (gs). The results were as follows:1)Bao ding city for the major landscape plants have a certain ability of absorbed dust. Based on the average ability of absorbed dust of the same kind of trees, the ability of absorbed dust in the side of road was stronger than absorbed dust of leaves in the greenbelt and the campus. Different types of landscape plants with different ability of absorbed dust. Most of the dust catching ability of hardwood is stronger than shrub.2)The amount of dust of the same kind of plants would be increased with the increasing of dust in the air, the largest amount of dust in the natural environment can't be achieved, the results of simulated test showed the potential ability of dust ,and the statistics showed the largest amount of dust was consistent with the common ability of dust. The dust absorbed ability for the deciduous hardwood and shrub lined up from more to less as follows: Platans acerifolia >Sophora japonica >Lagerstroemia indica >Amygdalus triloba >Ailanthus altissima >Amygdalus triloba >Lonicera maackii >Forsythia suspense ; The evergreen hardwood and Shrub lined up from more to less as follows: Sabina chinensis >Euonymus japonicus >Cedrus deodara >platycladus orientalis.3)The amount of dust for single trees not only related to the surface of the leaves, but also the crown of trees and the total leaf areas of single trees. Only the amount of dust of Platanus acerifolia was more than 1 kg, and more than0.5kg were Sophora japonica and Lagerstroemia indica, those of trees less than 0.1kg included platycladus orientalis, Cedrus deodara and oriental arborvitae.4)The leaves which is harsh, furrow, has pile on it or oil in can catch a lot of things small and round in atmosphere. On the contrary, the leaf smooth or hasn't pile on catch little. Correlation analysis showed that there were remarkable positive correlation. Between the leaf area index(LAI) and amount of dust, on the contrary correlation analysis showed that there were significant negative correlation between wind speed and amount of dust. 5)Percent in losing of net photosynthetic rate(Pn),transpiration rate(E), stomatal conductance(gs) of Lonicera maackii and Prunus triloba were higher than other tree species in the same area, and these of Patanus acerifolia, Ailanthus altissima were lower. The relative differences of gas exchange parameters in dusty and clean leaves of five broad leaved tree species including Patanus acerifolia, Ailanthus altissima, Lonicera maackii, Prunus triloba and Euonymus japonicus under three areas were side of road > greenbelt > campus and remarkable differ between side of road and campus. Correlation analysis showed that there were remarkable positive correlations between the percent in losing of gas exchange parameters and amount of dust.
