Methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate and cyclopentadecanolide musk are synthesized from malania oleifera oil wich contains 40%~60%cis-tetracos-15-enoic acid.It was studied to prepare methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate from malania oleifera oil,and methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate was catalyzed to synthesize cyclopentadecanolide.The main contents and outcomes were as follows:It was studied that two synthetic routes to prepare methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate from malania oleifera oil,and mixture purification and structural characterization had been done. The results showed that process route to prepare methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate was short by direct ozonization from malania oleifera oil,and conversion rate of cis-tetracos-15-enoic acid was 79.1%.Pure product with the content of 98.23%was obtained by separating crude methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate of 81.75%through column chromatography,and it was identified by MS,IR,13C-NMR.The effect of roasting temperature,roasting time,catalyst addition of HZSM-5 zeolite and esterification catalyst,concentration of methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate and solvent polarity on synthesis of cyclopentadecanolide had been respectively studied.It showed that the yield of cyclopentadecanolide catalyzed by HZSM-5 zeolite was 2.19%,and the yield of cyclopentadecanolide was not improved by NH4+ cation exchange.It also showed that the effect of esterification catalyst was bad,the maximum yield of cyclopentadecanolide was 2.68%,and the yield of cyclopentadecanolide could increase if solvent polarity was small.The effect of catalysts of NH4Y zeolite,βH catalyst,aminosulfonic acid,SO42-/TiO2 solid superacid,001-732 strong acid cation exchange resin and LS-50 strong acid cation exchange resin were comprehensively compared.The results showed that all solid catalysts had catalytic activity exceptβH catalyst.And the effect of LS-50 strong acid cation exchange resin was the best of all,the maximum yield of cyclopentadecanolide was 6.81%. It was further studied that cyclopentadecanolide was synthesized from methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate catalyzed by LS-50 strong acid cation exchange resin,and the optimal reaction time and the amount of catalyst were found,and the effect of content of methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate was studied.The results were that the yield and the content of cyclopentadecanolide increased when the content of methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate growed in reaction.The yield and content of cyclopentadecanolide were separately 7.57%and 53.37%when the content of methyl 15-hydroxypentadecanate was 97.50%.
