| During continuous rolling ,the temperature of the wire is one of the major factors which directly affect the allocation of mill load,the dimensional precision of finished product and structure property.It is important to accurately simulate and predict the temperature of wire on variant points of the whole rolling line and the temperature gradient of the cross section,which is the vital basis to effectively enhance product quality and the basic proof to guide production field to adjust water quantity of cooling equipments and to select the best cooling technology.In this paper,the aim of this research is the temperature change of 72A high-carbon steel wire duing rolling in high-speed of WISCO,which is one of the objects included in the item of"72A high-carbon steel wire's quanlity control".The numerical research models include several rapid cooling patterns between rough rolling and spinning apparatus.According to the pattern of the heat exchange between wire and medias,the temperature calculation can be devided into three parts:the first is the temperature change between the entrance of rough rolling and the outlet of pony stand,in which the temperature drop aroused by heat emission and the temperature rise aroused by deforming in rooling pass should be chiefly considerated;the second is the temperature change when wire penetrating through cooling water,in which the heat convection is needed to be thought and different models are selected according to cooling water or cooling vapor decided by the switching of spouts;the last is temperature change in finished rolling,in which the theory of triangle speed field is used .This paper adopts simple and effective finite difference method to conduct numerical value anlysis to heat transfer activity of wire which have regulate geometric shape during the whole production ,and the temperature field of high-speed wire production is set up and the temperature simulation program compiled by Visual Basic can be utilized to analyse and compute the influence of variant tenology parameters.The research indicates that through accurately simulating the temperature change of wire during rolling,the influence of technology parameters can be analysed numerically,which supplies proofs to practical production control and adjustment to acquire required spinning temperature and little temperature gradient and the best cooling technology. |
