The eastern pit of Daye iron mine, where used to be open air mining area for many years, has now changed into underground mining. There is an open air slope mining pit to the east of main ore body of Shizi Mountain in eastern zone of Daye iron mine, which is partly mined by open-pit mining approach and immediately connected to the underground mining counterpart. Hence, form a large scaled hanging wall ore body with complex mining conditions, high difficulty and low safety in mining process, subsequently, the research on mining safety technology are needed. On basis of theoretical analysis and the combination of practical status quo of Daye iron ore, this paper studies the rational layout of stope along with the optimization of blasting parameters of mining, and finds out reasonable reducing vibration parameters of blasting, so as to realize the vibration reducing control blasting in high slope mining, as well as to ensure safety production. The paper also testified practical mining plan by analyzing the stability of slope in mining process with numerical simulation software: FLAC, on which we modeling and simulated the stress distribution, the distortion displacement, and the plastic area deformation of slope rock in mining process. The paper effectively figures out the the solution to complementarity problem of succeeding mining cover by investigating covering layer problem, and adopts chop slope methods to avalanche the rock on the slope.
