With the rapid development of urbanization,problems in urban community environment have raised people's universal concern,and urban Eco-community construction has become a promising trend.The construction of Eco-community has very great significance in protecting city ecological environment,improving people's living environment quality and the efficiency of resource using,at the same time it also meet the requirement of the concept of scientific development and establish conservation culture. How we can evaluate the function that Eco-community offenses and comprehensive benefit from Eco -environmental. Researches in this respect bring about an advance in ecological community and ofer basis to macro-management of the government too.This paper has investigated urban community environment status of Suzhou,analyzed the three phases of community,and point out some problems.On the basis of the research results borh here and aboard,integrating the practical situation of Suzhou,this paper has established urban Eco-community evaluation system,and has built an analytic hierarchy model including three levels of aims,rule and element.Aims levels is the general aim in urban Eco-community construction;rule level is constituted 6 aspects,including ecological carring capacity, Eco-environmental,ecological architecture,infrastructure, Eco-cultural,dynamic development,and element level contains 28 factors.Calculated the index weights by AHP,and urban Eco-community comprehensive evaluation is done by applied mathematics.According to the evaluation system,we have evaluation the community ecological performance of three typical community in Suzhou.Based on the evaluation results,the suggestions are put forward to optimization construction of Eco-community in Suzhou.
