The Problem Of Our Country Village's Ecosystem Environment And The Enhancement Of The Peasant's Environmental Consciousness

Nowadays, with the increasing damage to the environment, unavoidable is the environmental deterioration of Chinese rural area whose situation is rather gloomy. In order to solve this problem, besides the government, peasants the main rural residents, should play an important role because their environmental consciousness is the key to it. The essay analyses the definition , content, classification of the environmental consciousness and the factors influencing on its formation . It probes into the contemporary Chinese rural environment and the peasant' environmental consciousness as well as their causes of formation and relations and proposes that the enhancement of environmental consciousness is indispensable in dealing with the rural environmental problem . Meanwhile, the essay studies the measures of enhancing peasants' environmental consciousness, including notion changes, social practice, system regulation and cultural building, i.e. to change and enrich peasants'environmental consciousness through education in environmental knowlegde, ethics guidance and legal consciousness; and to build an atmosphere of environmental protection through a culture of sustainable development ; to enhance peasants' environmental consciousness through rural recycling economy, rural environmental protection pioneers and organizations; to provide legal protection through perfect law and order, prize and penalty system so as to solve the serious environmental problems in the present rural area.
