The research feature of oily sludge internal and external is introduced in this paper. In order to treat oily sludge effectively, on the base of analyzing the components and size distribution of oily sludge in Shengli oil field, a profile control agent which is composed of oily sludge and rare earth mineral has been developed. By the test of the compression resistance strength of solidified oily sludgy, the compression resistance strength of this profile control agent is above 1MPa. Plugging property evaluation experiment showed that this kind of profile control agent possessed core plugging ratio above 99 percent and breakthrough pressure above 10 MPa. So it has higher plugging strength. Parallel core experiment showed that most of the profile control agent is injected into the high permeability zone, for the reservoir whose permeability contrast is above 10,and the harm of profile control agent to low permeability zone is below 15 percent. High temperature scouring evaluation experiment showed that after scouring with 200℃water vapor for 100PV, the permeability and plugging ratio of the core have no much change. So it has higher high temperature scouring resistance. This oily sludge profile control agent can be used in profile controlling of waterflood input well and steam blocking of thermal production well, this technology will have a good effect in field application. The model is established on the basis of heavy oil reservoir in Cao 20. The steam blocking and oily sludge profile mathematical simulation is done. The profile control parameter is optimized. The optimized parameter soft of profile control for oily sludge is researched. It is rapid, simple.
