On the bases of careful analysis of the theories of land reclamation and project practice in domestic and foreign open pit coal mine, the thesis detailed ecological restoration of mining wasteland in both China and abroad and in the Pingzhuang opencast coal mine of Inner Mongolia, expounded environmental background conditions with the theory of agrology, micro-biology, mining, farming-forestry etc. and did experimental study of edible fungi production waste material in land reclamation applying soil restoration theory . And waste hill and emission spot and five site types were classified in discarding land of coal mine in semi-arid region. Soil physical and chemical property and plant adaptation were analyzed in various site types. Plant replacing regulations were researched in various site types. Through above investigation and research, plant types and plant re-vegetation measures were found out in various site types of discard land. On one hand , I,II,III waste hills are mainly protected, on the other hand, protection and utilization were considered for IV type waste hill and emission spot. Finally, through comparing different habitats, vegetation distribution patterns of different species of the main effects, and the interaction of the main species between proposed the Pingzhuang opencast coal mine platoon territories market artificial vegetation model into platform slope vegetation distribution patterns and patterns of forest vegetation. The better pattern of I type waste hill was Solsola Collina×Artemisia halodendron;The better patterns of II type waste hill was Hippopha rhamnoides×( Cleistogenes squarrosa, Cleistogenes caespitosa); The better patterns of III type waste hill was Prunus.Armeniaca L.Var.Ansu Maxim.×Hippopha rhamnoides×(Astragalus adsurgens, Tribulus tenestris); The better patterns of IV type waste hill was Prunus.Armeniaca L.Var.Ansu Maxim.×Hippopha rhamnoides; The better patterns of the waste dump was Prunus.Armeniaca L.Var.Ansu Maxim.×Hippopha rhamnoides.
