The wet FGD technology with limestone-gypsum has been first choice in China's thermal power plant with all FGD technologies throughout the world. The scaling of gas-gas heater (GGH) is a difficulty in the wet limestone-gypsum flue gas desulfurization,scaling always takes place in the operation of GGH,and most of GGH scale badly.It can't make desulfurization equipment run normally. This paper mainly analyses the scaling reason of GGH in Taishan power plant,a part of wash liquid is carried off by the flue gas,tiny droplets which can't be removed by demister evaporat in the heat transfer part's surface,forms the solid state matters,causes the scaling of GGH day after day.The simulated experiment has been studied in order to slow down scaling of GGH,find the best control plan through the experiment,which had certain direction and reference value for establishing the project and amending the standard about the wet flue gas desulfurization in coal fired power plants.
