Horizontal well development of loose sand reservoir in Jiangsu oilfield is an difficult technique problem. Through the survey and study of oil well sand control technique and horizontal well completion technique, the experimental model of sand control parameter testing is established. Sand control filtering material, screen cell, bore diameter are compared and tested. Experiment researches of filter sand media sand control test, horizontal well screen cell diameter and horizontal well sand control parameter are accomplished. The parameter of horizontal well perforated completion is optimized, and the matching tools are developed. In perforation sand control completion, shooting density, phase angle and bore depth have an influence for productivity ratio. The experiments are done to analyze the affect of filter sand media, cell diameter, flow velocity and sand influx. The sand control techniques of loose sand reservoir horizontal well perforated completion and open hole completion are optimized, and horizontal well completion technology is gradually consummated. Unconventionality completion techniques are applied to horizontal well for the first time. According to distinguishing features of sand reservoir in Jiangsu oilfield, appropriate perforated completion and open hole completion programs are confirmed, and used in the oilfield, which acquire preferable field application effect, and provide the technical support for horizontal well effective development of sand reservoir.
