As the most advanced embroidery device in the present age, shuttle embroidery machine is well developed abroad but in our country. As the most important part of shuttle embroidery machine, control system decides the performance. To enhance the technology level of the domestically produced shuttle embroidery machine and reduce the distance, researches on the key technologies of shuttle embroidery machine control system were done. And a shuttle embroidery machine control system was developed with the PMAC motion controller. The PC software was developed on Windows2000 platform with software develop tool VC++6.0. The main contents are as follows:1. Research on the velocity planning of shuttle embroidery's frame and computational method of the main spindle speed. Proposed to solve the frame velocity curve and the minimum movement time with time-optimal control and maximum principle. Then a new computational method of the main spindle speed was given.2. Analyzed that how the coordination of needle, frame and platen influenced embroidery efficiency. Proposed a new embroidery technology parameter--platen coefficient, which was taken use of to improve embroidery efficiency. Based on the new computational method of the main spindle speed, the calculation process of the platen coefficient was given.3. The new computational method of the main spindle speed was simulated with Malab. And the results indicated it can control impact and improve embroidery efficiency effectively with the platen coefficient.4. According to the requirement of the shuttle embroidery machine, the platform of shuttle embroidery machine control system was constructed. The control program, choose of motion controller, hardware architecture, and the function, architecture and working-flow of the PC software were discussed in detail.Through these researches, the goal to improve efficiency of shuttle embroidery machine was achieved. And a good result was obtained when the developed shuttle embroidery machine control system was used.
