inverse microemulsion copolymerization of Acylamide (AM) Dimethyl Diallyl Ammonium Chloride(DMDAAC) initiated by a AIBA(2,2'-azobis(2-methyl propanimide)dihydrochloride) -NaHSO3 system was studied using Span-80/OP-10 as the emulsifiers, and liquid paraffin as continuous medium in inverse microemulsion was discussed。Based on the theory of synthesis inverse microemulsion。In the investigation of polymerization,some factors to the viscosity of product and conversion of the copolymerization were studied , emulsifier , the molar ratio of DMDAAC to AM , the initiator dosage , the ratio of volume of oil to water and other factors on the viscosity and conversion of the copolymerization were researched. The premium technological parameter in acrylamide polymerization is confirmed.The results show that there was an optimum value at emulsifier is 8%;molar ratio of monomer (AM : DMDAAC) is 5 : 1; initiator dosage is 0.6%; reacting temperature is 30°C; reacting time is 3 hours;volume of oil to water is 2 : 3; pH is 8;pH of inverse microemulsion is 10; Na2EDTA dosage si 0.5% .If continuous feeding of AM was used,the cationicity and the intrinsic viscosity could attain 20.0% and 1896.4mL﹒g-1。The structure of the polymer and the surface shape of the solid product werestudied by means of various instrumental analysis techniques,including IR。The dehydration property of PAM-DMDAAC for activated sludge was studied using different cationicity and different molecular weight PAM-DMDAAC。The results show that PDMDAAC-AM has a good dewateringproperty for activated sludge,the larger the cationicity and molecular weight are , the better dehydration performance the PAM-DMDAAC has。In the last part of experi- ments.the flocculation effciency of PAM-DMDAACfor kaolinite suspension, dye liquor, dyeing wastewater, and the flocculation efficiency of PDMDAAC-AM were studied by jar test。The experimental results show that the cationicity, the viscosity and the structure have a great effect on the flocculation efficiency of PAM-DMDAAC。In general the larger the cationicity and the viscosity, the better flocculation performance the PAM-DMDAAC has。The cationicity has a better effect on turbidity and color removal,the viscosity has a greater effect on oil removal。PAM-DMDAAC flocculates in water by charge neutralization and adsorption bridging mechanism。The experimental results show that PDMDAC-AM is organic cationic polymer flocculants with high performance and multi-fuctiong。...
