Jacket leveling equipment is a special tool which is used in jacket installation of offshore oil platform and primarily for leveling the jacket. The technology of the equipment has been monopolized by overseas' companies for a long time. This dissertation originates from the program for CNOOC's technology progress, R&D of Deepwater Jacket Hydraulic Pressure Installing Facilities, of which the purpose is to develop the jacket leveling equipment with independent intellectual property. Aimed at such a target, the structure design and finite element analysis are finished in this dissertation, and the performance of test prototype is tested.The international and domestic development of offshore oil platforms, underwater jacket leveling equipments and pile grippers are introduced. The new researching contents of test prototype of leveling equipment are put forward. The installation process of jacket, the operation process and working environment of jacket leveling equipment and skirt pile gripper are analyzed in detail.The feasible project of the test prototype is put forward. The structure design is performed with Pro/E, while the strength analysis of each spare part which is important for test prototype is performed with the finite element analysis software ANSYS. Finite element analysis is also introduced into the clamp contact problem of test prototype. The work mentioned above provides theory basis for the next experiment.The manufacture and debugging of test prototype are finished in this paper. Aimed at 24 inch pipes, the principle and extreme load experiment researches of test prototype are carried on. The experimental results indicate that the developed test prototype of leveling equipment can clamp and level the pipes, and the relationship of leveling force and clamping force can achieve the demand of actual leveling equipment. The performance of test prototype can meet the engineering requirement, which provides reliable technical parameters for the later engineering design.
