CATIA Secondary Development And The Movement Simulator Of NC Machine Based On It

CATIA is one of the most important CAD/CAE/CAM software in aviation industry, automotive, shipbuilding, plant design and so on. So it is very significant about secondary development on CATIA. However, the secondary development specially based on CAA is only just beginning in China.The actuality of CATIA secondary development in China and other countries is analyzed and summed up in this paper. Some development methods of CATIA is compared and summed up in it. The development actuality of the movement simulator of NC machine in China and other countries is introduced in it. The development steps of CATIA based on CAA including the architecture infrastructure of CATIA, Component Application Architecture and CAA RADE is researched and developed. The examples include development of interface such as workbench, menu, toolbar, add-in and dialog and the operation of assemble tree and character tree. On the other hand, a movement simulator of three-axis NC machine based on CATIA secondary development is built.This paper makes certain the modules and functions the movement simulator of three-axis NC machine based on CATIA secondary development with NC machine ZJK7532A/2. The functions include the building of numeric NC machine, movement simulator, tool path display and so on.
