Research On Setting And Application Of EHS Function In Enterprise

The fact that China accesses to WTO challenges enterprises. The environmentalprotection, safety, health effect of products in the course of using and service has becomea main criterion to measure an enterprise's all-around quality. EHS is the abbreviation ofthe Environment, Health and Safety. EHS management of enterprise is a comprehensivesubject. It refers to the investigation of the harmony of people, goods and environment. Ittakes charge the decision-making, planning, organization, control and coordination ofsecurity task in the organization and takes comprehensive measures to control theinsecure factor of people, goods and environment to achieve secure production.This article draws on the past few years the major domestic and foreign literature,research results and investigation on how to reduce the security incident, and studies thetheory and methods of EHS. The article first introduced the origin and development ofEHS and then through the introduction of several classic theory of the reason of securityincidents and the concept of EHS finds the meaning and process of implementation ofthe EHS management system. Then with several cases of implement EHS in oilcompanies, selected Tianjin BHA for study to analyze and demonstrate the process ofimplementation of EHS and the results. Large numbers of tasks, for example improvingcommunication, security training, supervision mechanism, which were done by theauthor during the past few years in the BHA's company, eventually make satisfactoryresults: the safety awareness of employees has greatly improved and the safety accidentsreduce significantly. Thus the author concluded that: not onlya reasonable organizationalstructure but also close contact and communication in various departments, can weimplement EHS really and truly.The article enriches the ways and means of EHS management by brings forwardseveral specific means of EHS improvement. The results of the paper improves the EHStheoretical system and promotes the transformation of the concepts of variousdepartments in enterprise and the establishment of EHS management system whichaccords with the market economy requirements, and it is propitious to the reform anddevelopment of Chinese enterprises. It has significance meaning to establish a new management and production mechanism, and to promote the development of ourenterprises healthily and stably.
