Research On The Dyeing Performance Of Alginate Fiber

In this paper, a series of experiments have been done on dyeing capacity of alginate fiber, a new type of regenerated functional fiber, and alginate fiber's dyeing capacity was evaluated in this research.The alginate fiber has a gradient capacity and unique structure, on base of plentiful experiment, we chose two kinds of Basic-dye to start the dyeing research. By some single factor tests, we ascertained the main influence factor in the dyeing process, and determined their dosage. After this, orthogonal experiments was adopted to find out the optimization parameter, the result indicated that, entry the fiber in 50-60℃, keep the pH value 4.5-5, under the ebullition dyeing time 2h, the dye has good lifting capacity and the leveling property is also good.Employing Basic Violet 16 to color the alginate fiber, we have carried out experiments on kinetics of dyeing. Dyeing capacity of the fiber is shown by the results of experimentation such as diffusion coefficient, half-dyeing time, constant of dyeing rate and so on. And this paper has made clear why there are such differences between dyeing rate when in different temperature.This paper has studied the dyeing capacity of the alginate fiber, provided lots of theoretical number to it, will be great helpful to the development of this fiber.
