In this pater,a series of experiments have been done on chemical stability of alginate fiber,a new type of regenerated functional fiber,and using dyes which receive a good looking to dye alginate fiber,dyeing capacity was made certain,Kinetics and Thermodynamics of fiber were evaluated in this reseach.The alginate fiber has a gradient capacity and unique structure,on base of plentiful experiment,weak acid dyes,acid mortant dyes and neutral dyes were selected to dye alginate fiber.By some single factor tests,we ascertained the main influence factors in the dyeing process,and determined their dosage,such as dyes concentration,bath pH,dyeing time and temperature.After this,orthogonal experiments was adopted to find out the optimization parameter,on the basis of color yield,fiber strength loss and color fastness under hot water we ascertained dyeing optimum technological conditions.Employing Lanner Red G to color the alginate fiber,we have carried out experiments on kinetics and thermodynamics of dyeing.Dyeing capacity of the fiber is shown by the results of experimentation such as diffusion coefficient,half-dyeing time, constant of dyeing rate,adsorption isotherm,Langmulr absorption constants,dyeing affinity,dyeing entropy and so on.Results of this paper will be great helpful to the development of this fiber.
