The sweetened condensed milk workshop with output 2.5 tons per shift was designed for Wuxi Jianong Diary Ltd. Co. After consulted extensive information, the feasibility of the research was done. The optimum process method was selected with every process being analyzed. On the base of it, the mass balance and heat balance, the amount of the raw material, the supplement material and water, electricity, stream were determined respectively. Then, the type of main equipment was selected. Finally, the investment and the cost accounting were estimated.The design is based on the standard of sweetened condensed milk (GB5417-1999), close to the international standard gradually. The production technology process is mechanized, automatic and continuous. The professor's experience on the technology process and equipment was learnt to assure the production technology flowchart, plant layout and the economy reasonable.In the process technology, the defects of the sweetened condensed milk were considered, and the solution can be given to ensure the quality of the product. To choose the equipment, the teachers have given me lots of advice and some data to make the theory approach to the fact. In the energy sources system, we reconstructed the system to adapt the new plant. The duties of wokers were changed to adapt the production so as to employ as least as we can. The ability of the supervisors was also improved to ensure the quality of the production.After the accomplishment of the design specification, large number of work was done in this design that is as follows. The design consisted of the flowchart, the ichnography of layout of workshop, the picture of erect cutaway view, the ichnography of pipeline drawing, pipeline perspective drawing , and the ichnography of general layout of the whole factory,By the end of 2005, the workshop was built and invested. It took only six months to recover the entire investment.
