According to the numerous factors that lower the production efficiency and increase production cost, in this paper, several influencing factors in the production manufacture process are picked out. Meanwhile, the process program and workshop layout are also optimized with reanalysis and redesign of handling equipment by adopting numbers of optimum design methods.The process flow diagrams of the glasses plate and the cutting ring are drew in accord with the current production. An optimization result is achieved and comparison between the current production and the former is made after the analysis optimization using process program analysis methods. The operation-related steps are decreased,with the operation time saved and the production efficiency enhanced after the optimization of the process. It also provides a reference for the design of workshop layout in the coming production.The current workshop layout’s unreasonable sections are discovered by studying the specific processes and equipment layout of glasses plate and cutting ring manufacture in company A as well as the analysis of workshop using From-To Chart,Technological Process Table and F-D Diagram. A model for the workshop layout, the objective function and related constraint conditions are established based on the analysis results. The result is calculated in the light of the solving ideas that have been simplified and the MATLAB, and the workshop layout of workshop A and workshop B is obtained at last. The distance and expense of transportation as well as the cost of production are reduced through the optimization of the layout.The improvement of handling way is orientated through the analysis of the production handling activity existing in company A. A’s suspension transport system is designed and calculated systematically after study of production and workshop layout. The feasibility of the scheme is proved basing on the evaluation of the new designed suspension transport system adopting AHP. The production efficiency is enhanced and the manual labor intensity is decreased using the new designed system.By combining the optimization of process program, the improvement of workshop layout and the optimal design of handling equipment, this paper shows the production efficiency being enhanced and the production cost being reduced. It also provides some reference on the optimal design for manufacturing enterprise.
