Study On The Evaluation To The Eco-environmental Quality Of Jincheng City

Jincheng city is one of Chinese important bases. Relying on its rich coal resources it made rapid development of society and economical condition. But due to the mining in the extensive form, there is a serious waste of resources. At the same time, the rapid deterioration of the ecological environment affects people's production, life and health. Controlling environmental pollution and improving the ecological environment has become a major problem that must be solved in the course of Jincheng's developmentOn the basis of accessing to the large number of relevant information and in light of field research the paper analyses the characteristics and status of the ecological environment in Jincheng city, especially its problems of the ecological environment in the process of development and selects the 24 individual indicators in natural, social and economic views to construct eco-environmental quality evaluation index system of Jincheng city according to the ecological economics theory and the theory of sustainable development in the process of study. The paper makes a quantitative assessment of the development condition of the ecological environment in Jincheng from 1998 to 2006 by the ecological environment quality one-evaluation index and comprehensive evaluation index which is constructed and calculated by making use of the principal component analysis method. Evaluation results showed that air pollution, noise pollution and dust pollution is the major environmental problems in Jincheng city; the single industrial structure and the lagging of the development of tertiary industry make a serious impact on the economic development in Jincheng city; lack of development in education and science and technology limit the develop and re-utilization of resources and cause a serious waste of resources. The quality of the ecological environment must be further improved.For the specific circumstances of Jincheng city, the paper makes recommendations and countermeasures to the ecological environment management.
