The Research And Development Of A Control System Based On ARM For Die-casting Machine

Die-casting machine is an important equipment in the die casting industry,and control system for die-casting machine,as a crucial part of die-casting machine,plays an important role in increasing productivity and assuring quality of casting.As embedded systems with small size,strong performance,low power consumption,high reliability,and application-oriented sectors of the outstanding features,has now been widely used in consumer electronics,network communications,industrial control and the equipment manufacturing industry and other fields.This article will apply embedded technology to industrial controller,designing and developing a control system for die-casting machine based on the ARM andμC/OS-Ⅱ.The article introduces the present technology of domestic and international die-casting machine control system and refers to current technology of embedded system based on ARM.Then the article conducts a deep research as follows.First,the control system's hardware is designed and assured having enough memory storage, friendly man-machine interface,abundant input and output IO.The hardware design not only meets the requirements of die-casting machine control,but also facilitate to expanding and upgrading.For specific requirements of die-casting control system, such as huge system,complex control,real-time demanded and so on,an embedded real-time operating systemμC/OS-Ⅱis adopted and translated to ARM processor. Finally,the software is designed under the modular thinking.The software is divided into four parts,including bootloader,device driver layer,operating system layer and application software layer.And the application software layer is classified as tasks of action control,display,IO scanning,alarm to achieve the corresponding function.With status quo of research,development and production of domestic die-casting industry,the real time control system based on ARM for die-casting machine has successfully translatedμC/OS-Ⅱto ensure that the entire system of real-time.And the control system achieves the real-time control and monitoring of die-casting process.The hardware and real-time software meet the good work performance and control needs with the high reliability,friendly man-machine interface,easy to operate the use,maintenance and so on.
