Intelligent textiles, also called smart textile or electric clothes. It is a novel technology to assemble the sensors and actuators based on MEMS technology on the traditional clothes. It is an invaluable technology in many fields. In the national defense, intelligent textiles is the indispensably equipment, which can provide communication, position, color shield and so on. It is important to promote the ability of national defense. In medical field, the patient clothing the dress, can be remote monitored and without limitation. The intelligent textiles can satisfy different application, and it will be an important part of the life. The related research works initiated here in this research has been supported by NSCF that is carried out at this historic moment and they contribute to the main contents of this dissertation.On the bases of overall research on the working principle of intelligent textiles, a series of electrical components collecting information of human body's physiological parameters are integrated on flexible substrate to explore the fabrication process and the reliability of intelligent textiles. Packaging configurations and processes are designed and optimized by the combination of finite elements analysis and experiments, and samples are fabricated for testing of parameters and verification of theories. The major research is summarized below.First, it is focus on designing of silicon flexible skin: two kinds of polymers using for flexible substrate materials are thoroughly studied. The fabrication processes of two regular types of silicon flexible skin are investigated and compared by finite elements analysis;Second, it is focus on designing of sensors integrated on flexible substrate: thermo resistive transducer used for detecting body's heat and flexible electrode used for collecting electrocardiograph (ECG) and piezoelectric microphone used for collecting phonocardiogram (PCG) is designed. Theories of working principle of thermo resistive transducer element are thoroughly studied and a Wheatstone electric bridge is used to detect the change of resistance. Chest interlink age principle of flexible electrode is studied and an ECG detecting circuit is investigated. PCG detecting principle is studied and the configuration parameters of piezoelectric microphone are designed and optimized by finite elements analysis;Finally, it is focus on the textile fibred assembling with silicon flexible skin: the working principle of intelligent textiles based on silicon flexible skin is studied. Flexible substrate is assembled on textiles with conductive yarn and experiments provide the needed verifications for reliability.
