Simulation On Two-step Tape Laying For Cylinder With Opening Based On OpenGL

Two-phase automated tape laying is the integration of equipment technology, CAD/CAM software technologies and material technology. As one of the technologies for advanced composite low-cost manufacturing, it is widely used in the fields of large aerospace components'molding in developed countries. The domestic studies on this field are still at the starting stage.Based on composite cylinder structure with an opening, the technology of two-phase automated tape laying is studied in this dissertation, and the 3D model of parametric cylinder, off-line cutting machine and automated tape laying machine are set up. The visual simulation system of two-phase automated tape laying of cylinder structure with an opening is achieved in development circumstances of Visual C++ 6.0 by MFC and OpenGL technologies. In the end, the tape laying path generated is verified. The main contents of this dissertation are summarized as follows:Firstly, under the principle of two-step automated tape laying, the structure of automated tape laying system is designed and modeled. This system includes cylinder mould, off-line cutting machine and automated tape layer. Off-line cutting machine mainly uses two ultrasonic knives to realize the function of cutting 150mm prepreg tapes with one backing paper and then the automated tape layer which has main-assist lay-up roller achieves tape laying.Secondly, under the principle of automated tape laying, the laying path is planned, controlling information is generated and part-strengthen of the opening element is managed. And the realization of plane and simple rotary component parts'tape laying are analyzed.Thirdly, using MFC and OpenGL technologies, in the development circumstances of Visual C++ 6.0, two-phase tape laying simulation system is realized. And the realizing steps, functions and simulation methods of the system, in particular the tapes'simulation, are detailed exposited.
