In China traditional steel trade operations are dispersed and done separately .Steel production circulation channels are over complex and not classified clearly . Transaction cost is higher because of multilevel circulation adding transportation and convey costs.Because steel industry quite depends on transporting , these become a problem which all steel enterprises have to face increasingly . It's expected by insiders that this pressure would not be reduced obviously in years. In our country, as railway pressure increases continually ,meanwhile overload of highway transportation and inland water transport is punished more serious . Therefore , contradictions in domestic transport market are intensified and steel product and trades are greatly affected by these which have become a bottleneck of whole industry development.This paper intends to build an integrated regional transport system of steel logistic which could take advantage of Yangtze river shipping at the situation of considering demand of comprehensive transport system . Main research contents and achievement are as follow:(1) The writer analyzes the market demand and necessity of multimodal transport of steel logistic in the middle-lower Yangtze area . This aper structured a Wuhan-centered joint multimodal transport system of steel logistic in the middle-lower Yangtze area. It proposes a multimodal transport management model in which the carrier is steel logistic base.(2) After a further analysis of information process , it builds a multimodal transport information platform .This information platform helps different parties communicate transport demanding and supplying information on steel logistic chain and it can carry out the function of seeking cargos, ships and trucks which improve efficiency.(3) This paper analyzes cost structure of multimodal transport of steel logistic by transport chain activity-based costing . It builds a multimodal transport activity-based costing calculation model as an instruction of transportation resource allocation which aiming to reduce transport cost.(4) On the base of earlier research , it establishes a reasonable easy-run multimodal transport of steel logistic comprehensive evaluation index system. This paper takes a kind of fuzzy mathematic comprehensive evaluation index system to evaluate and compare multimodal transport of steel logistic and other transportation ways.
