Research Of Eco-city Construction And Evaluation

Content: Urbanization development of human civilization is the natural historical process. Although the rapid development of China's urbanization brings human being tremendous economic benefits, it has also caused a series of negative effects, such as population growth, shortage of resources, environmental pollution and a series of social problems. These urban problems which essentially can be seen as the ecological problems in those areas are all related to ecological disharmony of city directly or indirectly, which is the actual performance leaded by social economic development and their environment carrying capacity of urban ecological imbalance. Therefore, building an ecological city is the key to solving these urban problems, having urban ecological theory and evaluation is the foundation of an ecological city, and carrying on deep ecological research and evaluation for a city is extremely meaningful. Based on the review and analysis of trends in domestic and international eco-city study, this thesis outlines the ecological city theories and the corresponding evaluation methods in detail from the origin, content, features, structure, operational mechanism, creating standards and evaluation index system etc. And take the example of Dalian, we have carried on comprehensive analysis to the current situation of the ecological urban construction of Dalian and created an evaluation index system to do a quantitative assessment on its ecological level, which draws the conclusion that the ecological composite index value of Dalian is 0.74, the ecological level is two, and the ecology intensity is relatively high. Nonetheless, there are still many problems such as the unreasonable energy structure, the low utilization efficiency, the shortage and seriously polluted water, the urban handling rate of sanitary sewage which remains to raise, the industrial structure and industrial distribution which still need to improve, the area of living environment which is widely different in the city's ecological construction process of Dalian according to the detailed scoring of structure, and function and coordination of the ecosystem. In light of these problems we have put forward the countermeasures to the ecological urban construction in Dalian which is to establish the idea that the urban ecological environment develops with social economic system in harmony, to strengthen the ecological environmental management, to strengthen the industrial structure adjustment and optimize, to strengthen the environmental comprehensive administration of urban area, and to advance the construction of integration of urban and rural areas in a more cost-effective manner.
